SAN ANTONIO – A San Antonio attorney was arrested after an alleged assault in a courthouse conference room, according to an arrest affidavit. Arnulfo Ortiz, 69, faces a charge of indecent assault, Bexar County jail records show. On Sept. 11, 2024, a client who hired Ortiz as her attorney for a divorce proceeding said he took her to a conference room, where he “grabbed her hand and placed her hand on his genitals,” according to the affidavit. The affidavit said the woman pulled her hand away, and Ortiz kissed her on the side of the mouth.

She said she did not consent to the contact and left the room. Ortiz was booked into the Bexar County jail on Wednesday on a $5,000 bond and was later released on the same day, jail records show.
