Terma secures MDA AURORA supply agreement for satellite testing systems supporting high volume manufacturing  Defence Industry Europe

Terma has been selected by MDA Space as a supplier to the MDA AURORA programme, providing ground support systems for the company’s software-defined satellite product line Terma has been selected by MDA Space as a supplier to the MDA AURORA programme, providing ground support systems for the company’s software-defined satellite product line. The equipment will support satellite integration, production and launch preparation as MDA Space advances high-volume manufacturing of MDA AURORA spacecraft. Under the agreement, Terma will supply Power Special Check-Out Equipment incorporating its UniverSAS product, Radio Frequency Special Check-Out Equipment for comprehensive RF testing, and Central Checkout Systems based on its CCS5 product. Together, the systems are intended to provide efficient and reliable testing and validation across the satellite production process.

Terma said the equipment has been designed for scalability and modularity, allowing integration and reuse across multiple satellite platforms and future mission architectures. The systems will form part of the ground support segment serving MDA AURORA production. The supply-chain agreement will support deliveries of MDA AURORA satellites manufactured at MDA Space’s high-volume production facility.
