The Cincinnati Bengals made it clear this offseason that they were all in on revamping a roster that missed the postseason three years in a row. The Bengals brought in so many decorated veterans like Dexter Lawrence, Jonathan Allen, Boye Mafe, and Bryan Cook to create a new culture and create it as quickly as possible. Through the first two weeks of play, that investment is showing, and it’s showing as quickly as the front office had hoped. The Bengals defense dominated both the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Houston Texans, which has stunned the NFL world. After a two-touchdown day this past weekend, Ja’Marr Chase shared his thoughts on the defense so far and gave that unit some major props.

“I can’t even describe how much I love our defense right now,” Chase stated. “They’re our backbone.
