A one-time child actor who was known for his roles in “That’s So Raven," “Tyler Perry’s House of Payne," and the movie “Role Models" is heading to prison following his conviction on a federal firearm charge. Bobbe Thompson was handed a 30-month prison sentence by a federal judge in Iowa after pleading guilty in April to possession of a firearm by a felon, according to the Department of Justice. He will also spend three years of supervised release after he gets out. Thompson, 30, was arrested in northern Iowa on September 22, 2025, after law enforcement spotted him going 104 mph in a 70 mph zone, the DOJ explained in a statement. The officer who stopped Thompson alleged the actor and his passenger had switched seats after being pulled over and reported being able to smell marijuana coming from the vehicle, the statement continued.
