Antenna Research Associates has appointed longtime defense and space executive Bill Gattle as president and CEO, tasking him with expanding… Read More Antenna Research Associates has appointed longtime defense and space executive Bill Gattle as president and CEO, tasking him with expanding the company’s integrated radio frequency capabilities across defense, space and national security markets. Gattle succeeds Logen Thiran, who led ARA as CEO from 2012 to 2026. The Laurel, Maryland-based company is a portfolio company of private equity firm OceanSound Partners, which invested in ARA in 2024. Gattle brings nearly four decades of aerospace, defense and space industry experience to the role. He most recently served as chairman of Trident Solutions, the successor company to LightRidge Solutions, and continues to serve on its board.

Previously, he was CEO of LightRidge, a provider of electro-optical, infrared and RF payloads for space and national security applications. During his tenure, Gattle led the 2025 sale of the company’s Geost business to Rocket Lab. Before LightRidge, Gattle spent 35 years with Harris Corp. and its successor, L3Harris Technologies. He most recently served as president of Space and Intelligence Systems, overseeing a business spanning space-based sensing, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance payloads, and data exploitation.
