More chances to break out those sweaters for fall in Denver today, weather will remain gloomy. The National Weather Service in Boulder said to expect cloudy, gloomy skies with a 60% chance for showers and possible thunderstorms before noon. The weather service said to expect wind gusts up to 17 mph in some areas and more chances for rain and possible showers after 3 p.m. A flood watch is in place for parts of Southern Colorado, with the majority of flooding expected in the southeast corner of the state, the National Weather Service in Boulder said in a post on X. Widespread rain will continue today over southern Colorado, but struggle to spread north.

Occasional light rain is expected for the Denver area, mainly southern parts. Heavier rain will be along, south, and east of the Palmer Divide where Flood Watches remain in effect. #cowx pic.twitter.com/9yzPnYAUFp It will feel chilly today in Denver with temperatures expected to hit a high of 63 degrees on Wednesday, which would be about 10 degrees cooler than the seasonal average for Sept. 30, according to weather service archive data. Scattered storms and showers will continue throughout the day and into the evening, with a 30% chance for showers before 9 p.m., when storms will clear for mostly cloudy skies, according to the weather service.
