Lady passenger claims to be ‘YouTube lawyer’ during traffic stop Leesburg-News.com
A Summerfield man and his Lady Lake cohort were arrested on drug charges after being stopped with methamphetamine. An officer on patrol observed a white transit van with no taillights illuminated headed northbound on U.S. Hwy. 27/441 around 2:25 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, according to an arrest report from the Fruitland Park Police Department. He subsequently stopped the occupants, 45-year-old Jose Luis Cruzado Flores and 55-year-old Michelle Jean Holman, just north of Lake Ella Road. When asked for his driver’s license, Cruzado Flores handed over an ID that he said he had just updated. The officer stated it was an ID, not a license, to which he again claimed he had a license.
But a check of his driving history concluded he did not have a license issued to him, the report said. The officer then asked Holman for her license, and she was reluctant. She stated she was a “YouTube lawyer” before sharing her name and date of birth, the report said. After another unit arrived on scene, the officers asked for permission to search the vehicle and were denied. They ultimately used a K-9 to check for narcotics and received a positive alert, so the occupants were removed anyway, the report said.
