Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders get emotional during official fittings, Ric Flair's weekend advice & sausage!

It’s Saturday, the sun is trying to come up, and my weekend starts as soon as I pump out this edition of Screencaps, so let’s get after it.

Let’s get rolling with news that the NFL season is close. How close? The Dallas Cowboys cheerleaders went through their official fittings on Friday, where the ladies get the official knot in their tops that cheerleaders around the world dream of. Watch the emotions pour out as these cheerleaders realize their lives are about to change, and they’re about to spend 10 weeks of their lives (no way the Boys make the playoffs, right?) dancing for Dak and CeeDee Lamb.

I’m trying to figure out what the equivalent of this would be for men. I guess this would be similar to the feeling a guy has the first time he sits in a brand new Dodge Ram, or F-250. I’ve never sat in the driver’s seat of a brand-new truck, but I have to assume for red-blooded American men, that feeling has to be amazing as you realize you’ve climbed the financial mountaintop.

WWE SUPERSTAR NIKKI BELLA HAS A NEW BOOZY JOB TITLE AND COWBOYS CHEERLEADERS GO ABROAD

If you didn’t know, the newest season of “America’s Sweethearts,” the Cowboys’ cheerleader documentary, is on Netflix right now. As in the past, I’m completely fascinated by the whole process of selecting a team and the amount of time the cheerleaders train for a 10-game season.

Based on what I’m watching, the cheerleaders put in more work than Dak. And it’s more militant. It’s also better than “Hard Knocks.” Yes, I said it. Give me the DCC CEO Kelli ripping some young blonde for missing a kick to the point the cheerleader is in tears.

It’s probably time for Trump to give Kelli a medal of freedom for her contribution to society. I’m serious. And then have all 36 cheerleaders dancing on the South Lawn as a kickoff to the 2026 season as one more tribute to America 250.

– Beer Guy Neil in Cleveland asks: I’m not asking for nonspon content, but you have mentioned about your results with the purple pillow. Can you give me a rec because my neck is killing trying me trying to get restful sleep.

Kinsey: I use the Purple Harmony. #notsponsored. I bought the damn thing. It was originally purchased for Mrs. Screencaps, but she determined it made her neck sit up too far, so I took it and I haven’t used any other pillow since.

The pillow stays cool, keeps its form and I definitely toss and turn much less with this pillow. Also, when I go to hotels, I immediately notice garbage pillows. I get that the price is high, but I haven’t had to go looking for Costco pillows in nearly three years.

I like where you guys are taking me with the travel ball dads series

Keep the content coming where the dads are sweating the action. Sweating what the D3 coaches think of their sons. I like the dad with his hands on his hips. You can tell he’s ultra-stressed as we close in on mid-July and the tournament season is wrapping up.

In our game on Thursday night, the opposing team had six dads serving as coaches of a REC TEAM. SIX DADS. There were 17 players and five coaches in the dugout. One of the dads had to stand behind the fence because there wasn’t room for him in the dugout. He was also the total d-bag dad that came to me with all sorts of special rules he wanted us to agree to.

I’ll say it again: #MakeRecBallGreatAgain

It’s not all bad news for Chuck after the first round of the American Century. He’s -6, which is good for 62nd place. John O’Hurley is in last, where Chuck used to live, at -30. Yes, -6 is better than -30 in this scoring system.

Chuck went 45-46 during his Friday round.

Keep in mind, double bogey is your friend at this tournament. We don’t honestly know how bad some of these guys are. O’Hurley had just three holes under double bogey.

How would I handle this situation?

Lee in Tampa asks: What’s the protocol here, Coach?

Kinsey: I like to think that I would have calmly separated the boy from the ump and then the opposing coach would’ve calmly come in to take care of the discipline.

That said, I’m with the guy in the blue. The “Get out of here” message might’ve been a little loud, but he instantly comes in to take charge over a kid carrying an aluminum bat. Am I crazy to think we’re talking about 13 or 14U kids here. There’s a boy walking off the field who’s huge. He could be 12, but I’m thinking we’re up a grade here.

Thank God I never had anything like this during our season. I did see a coach unload on an 18-year-old umpire during a game I was watching. The opposing coach then spoke up and told the guy to chill out which could’ve spilled over, but it didn’t.

I think you guys are starting to see why I’m gravitating towards cross country with Screencaps Jr. I can pop open a lawn chair, turn on music, relax, the event takes like 12 minutes to complete and then we go on with our Saturdays.

Moms and dads: If you have a boy or girl trying to figure out a sport to participate in, encourage cross country. Thank me later.

That is it on this Saturday with the baseball season over. I don’t even know what to do with myself. Mrs. Screencaps said something about running new drip lines to her flowers. I’m also thinking it’s time to get the boys out to the driving range.

Let’s go have a good one.
