Denver police seek information about hit-and-run, shooting  Denver Gazette

The Denver Police Department took to X Friday to ask the community for help solving two open cases. One of the cases, a hit-and-run crash resulting in serious injuries to a bicyclist, took place around 6:25 p.m. Oct. 13 at North Speer Boulevard and West 14th Avenue. An unidentified motorist was traveling northbound and hit the bicyclist, who was traveling eastbound in the marked crosswalk, police said. The victim suffered serious injuries after being struck by the vehicle, and the driver fled without sharing information required by law. The driver is still at large, according to police. The suspect vehicle is described as a blue 2010 Toyota Prius with Colorado license plate AANP17.

The vehicle may have damage on the driver’s side front bumper and hood, police said. The other case, a shooting that resulted in injuries to two people, occurred around 7:42 p.m. on Oct. 8 in the 2100 block of Stout Street. The two people were transported to the hospital and are expected to survive, police said. The suspect is described as a Black man last seen wearing dark clothing, a black hoodie with a white “Champion” logo on the front, a blue bandana covering his face and white and black athletic shoes.
