Police are investigating after a man was found dead overnight in a South Fulton neighborhood where gunfire had been reported.Officers responded to Blake Loop, off Scarborough Road, after receiving a call about shots fired in the Dillon Park subdivision.Police found an unresponsive man and attempted to resuscitate him, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.Detectives remained in the neighborhood for much of the night, collecting evidence while officers blocked off the area. Police cleared the scene early Tuesday morning.Several of the man’s loved ones also arrived in the neighborhood and were visibly distraught.Police have not confirmed whether the man died from a gunshot wound. His identity and the circumstances surrounding his death have not been released.Detectives are asking anyone with information regarding the shooting or the events leading up to the discovery to contact the South Fulton Police Department.
