A 19-year-old woman died Wednesday evening after she was reportedly ejected from a vehicle during a Northwest Side crash, according to the San Antonio Police Department. SAN ANTONIO – A 19-year-old woman died Wednesday evening after she was reportedly ejected from a vehicle during a Northwest Side crash, according to the San Antonio Police Department. The crash was reported just before 5 p.m. at Loop 1604 and Bandera Road. According to an SAPD preliminary report, first responders found the woman and pronounced her dead at the scene. Officers said she was driving a Chevrolet Suburban northbound on Loop 1604 when she left the roadway and entered the grassy median for an unknown reason.

The SUV then crossed into the southbound side of Loop 1604 and rolled over multiple times. Authorities said the woman was ejected from the vehicle. The Bexar County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the woman as Jala Yasmeen Charles. Officials said Charles’ cause and manner of death have yet to be determined.
