Attendees will also receive care packages from organizers and resources from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. PRINCETON, W.Va. (WVVA) – November is National Veterans and Military Families Month, and for the past 11 years, Judge Omar Aboulhosn has helped organize an event for veterans and their families in Princeton. “The community did not have a project to where we did this for veterans and recognize them for their service to our country and not only then, their family members too because our belief is that when a veteran is serving, their families are serving as well,” said Aboulhosn, co-chair of the Community Veterans Breakfast Event. On Nov. 7, Aboulhosn and his partners will host the 11th annual Veterans’ Breakfast and Stand Down at Lifeline Church in Princeton.

The event invites former and active service members to a free breakfast. The breakfast has grown over the past decade, with community members, local businesses, civic groups and churches contributing. “We have the Princeton Healthcare Center that provides almost all the food for it. We have Bojangles who supplies Build-A-Biscuits. We have Grants Supermarket who helps with milk and juice,” Aboulhosn said. Aboulhosn said this will be the last Veterans’ Breakfast he will be part of. Longtime volunteer and co-chair Diamond Wolfe will take over the event. Planning for next year’s breakfast
