Tigers unveil new name for Comerica Park, starting in 2027  WILX

DETROIT (News 10) – The Comerica Park moniker is no more. The Detroit Tigers and Fifth Third Bank on Monday announced a new name for the team’s stadium in Downtown Detroit: Fifth Third Park. The name change, which will take effect at the start of the 2027 season, comes after Fifth Third Bancorp acquired Comerica Incorporated earlier this year. The new name shares some similarities with some of Detroit’s minor league affiliates’ current and former stadium names. The Triple-A Toledo Mud Hens play at Fifth Third Field in Toledo, while the High-A West Michigan Whitecaps used to play at Fifth Third Ballpark, which has since been renamed to LMCU Ballpark.

The ballpark had been named Comerica Park since it opened in 2000. After being officially eliminated from postseason contention over the weekend, the Tigers have six games remaining this season, all to be played at Comerica Park, including Justin Verlander’s expected final career start on Saturday.
