Jacksonville police still have not identified the person who shot someone along San Marco Boulevard Wednesday night, as people who live in the neighborhood are sharing different reactions to the violence in one of the area’s busiest corridors. JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Jacksonville police still have not identified the person who shot a man along San Marco Boulevard Wednesday night, as people who live in the neighborhood are sharing different reactions to the violence in one of the area’s busiest corridors. The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office told News4JAX Thursday morning that no additional information about the investigation has been made available beyond an initial recap released Wednesday night. Police have not released a description of the shooter or said what led up to the shooting.

JSO later confirmed that the man who was shot was hospitalized with injuries that were not life-threatening. “The suspect is unknown, and we would ask the community for assistance with any potential information they may have in this case,” a JSO spokesperson told News4JAX in an email Thursday morning.
