We’ve been talking about this morning’s cold front for weeks. It’ll take us from record-breaking heat to more of a September and fall-like feel. It has been a crazy hot and dry year. Right now, we’re sitting at the hottest year on record when you factor in morning lows and afternoon highs. It’s the sixth driest year on record.

This Monday morning, we’re tracking a complex of storms in Kansas that will try to build into the northwest. Highs on Monday range from the upper 70s to the mid to upper 80s in central Oklahoma. Still feeling like summer in the far south. A few isolated showers and storms are possible Monday afternoon and evening. Monday night into Tuesday will be our first cool and near-normal morning in what feels like forever! We’ll watch for a few scattered showers and thunderstorms to develop.
