Risk for severe storms Monday. Big temperature changes later this week  WSB-TV

ATLANTA — The last full day of summer will have a risk for another round of summer storms. Severe Weather Team 2 Brian Monahan is tracking scattered storms that will develop late this afternoon and throughout the evening. [DOWNLOAD: Free WSB-TV Weather App for alerts wherever you go] Some storms have the risk of becoming strong or severe with heavy rain and damaging wind gusts as the main impacts.

There is also the possibility of small hail with the strongest storms that develop. As for our temperatures, we’ll be hot the next couple days, but some big changes are on the way later this week. Near to below average temperatures arrive with the beginning of fall. The autumnal equinox is on Tuesday at 8:05 p.m.
